Position: Reflexologist – Oncology Supportive Care

Location: Dr. Ziauddin Hospital, Head Office North Nazimabad Campus

Job Summary :

To provide safe, evidence-based reflexology therapy to oncology patients as part of supportive and palliative care. The goal is to reduce stress, anxiety, pain, fatigue, and treatment-related side effects while promoting relaxation and improving quality of life.

Job Responsibilities

Assess patients and provide safe, tailored reflexology sessions for oncology care.
Maintain accurate treatment records and coordinate with the oncology team.
Ensure infection control and monitor patient responses, reporting concerns promptly.
Use resources cost-effectively and support efficient scheduling of services.
Participate in departmental meetings, awareness programs, and staff training.
Promote reflexology in supportive oncology care and contribute to research/quality improvement initiatives.

Knowledge & Competences

Knowledge of reflexology principles, pressure points, and therapeutic techniques.
Understanding of oncology treatment modalities and side effects.
Awareness of contraindications (e.g., thrombocytopenia, infections, lymphedema, DVT).
Ability to deliver safe, gentle, adaptive reflexology for cancer and palliative patients.
Strong interpersonal and empathetic communication skills.

Requirements

Academic Qualification: Diploma/Certification in Reflexology from a recognized institute.
Professional Qualification: Specialized training in Oncology Reflexology / Complementary Therapies for Cancer Patients (preferred).
Work Experience: 1–2 years of clinical reflexology or complementary therapy experience. Experience in oncology, palliative care, or hospital/clinical settings (preferred).
