Job Summary

A Laboratory Technologist performs routine and specialized laboratory tests to aid in patient diagnosis, treatment, and research. They work with medical professionals and laboratory staff to ensure timely and accurate results. This role demands a high level of technical proficiency, strict adherence to safety and quality standards, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities

Perform Clinical/Biochemical tests independently under minimal supervision, according to the departmental procedure manual, on a daily basis to ensure timely preparation of final reports.
Assures that appropriate controls (positive and negative) are run with each test/batch or as per test requirements and according to lab policy.
Performs routine technical procedures for internal and external quality control samples/surveys in line with the Supervisor’s instructions as and when required.
Assist the senior/ in charge technologist in teaching/training of junior staff, students, and trainees according to guidelines provided, as and when required.

Knowledge and Competencies

Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Decision making skills.
Good knowledge of Laboratory Testing Procedures.

Requirements

Education: BS in Medical Technology.
Experience: 2 to 3 years of relevant experience.
Shift: Rotational.
