Citi Bank Jobs Direct Custody and Clearing Operations Head: The objectives of this position is to expand leadership responsibilities, improve organizational ability to exceed corporate goals, and help honor all long-term commitments made to customers, stockholders, employees and the communities and also ensure overall the unit, settlement, tax, billing, and account opening responsibilities with timely manner and help in running business efficiently and effectively without any hindrance.

Key/Primary Responsibilities:

Unit responsibilities
•Attend regional calls with operations chain as well as customer calls (as and when scheduled)
•Ensure Regulatory reports are done on a timely basis
•Regional reporting of MIS on a weekly and monthly basis
•Local reporting of MIS on a weekly and monthly basis
•Filling out of client questioners as and when submitted / requested by the client
•Being up to date with market developments (Tax, Corporate action)
•Ensure all customers’ quarries related to Corporate Action / Settlements / tax / Billing are responded on timely manner
•Ensure Reconciliation of security and cash (SMAC v/s CDC and SMAC v/s Vault) are performed daily and all exceptions are investigated and resolved
•Coordination with NCCPL and CDC on queries and issues
•Coordinate with SMAC and SFE teams for enhancements and participation in UATs
•Increase the STP rate with coordination with clients
•Manage and coordinate with front office, clients and units team
•GRRITT reporting
•Continuity of Business coordinator for the unit and all milestones are meeting
•Coordinate for Record and Retention to ensure data is moved/ destroyed as per RandF policy
•Perform transactions pre-matching and send reports to custodians / local brokers (act as a backup)
•Monitoring of inflows / outflows of payments and timely payment from RTGS (act as a backup)
•Trades affirmations on NCCPL system (act as a backup)
•Authorization of Financial entries on Flex cube (act as a backup)
•Ensuring execution of Foreign Exchange execution (act as a backup
•Authorization of corporate action at events creation as well as payments of dividends, excess dividends/bonus are returned on a timely manner
•Ensuring all dividend are received and paid out to clients on a timely manner
•Authorization for repatriation of Income proceeds to Non-resident Clients (designated Bank)
•Handling of Registration of physical shares with Companies / Registrars and conversion in to scrip less, ensure the process is handled in a timely manner.
•Tracking CGT payment/receipt on a monthly basis
•Ensure annual tax file are prepared so the same can be shared to the clients’ appointed tax consultant
•Billing is generated accurately and on a timely manner
•Billing schedule is updated accurately as and when received from the client

Qualification, Experience and Skills:

• Minimum Graduate, Preferably Masters

• Preferably with 2-3 years’ experience of working in Custody and Share Operations or Operations in an Asset Management firm

• 12 years experience in financial services

• Good Communication Skills

• Banking Operations experience

• Ability to work under pressure

• Multi task oriented

• Energetic/ time management skills

• Excellent managerial skills
