Position Title = > Electrical Technician – Steam Turbine Based Power Plant
Employment Type = > One Year Contractual

We are looking for a skilled and hands-on Electrical Technician to join our Cogeneration Power Plant equipped with steam turbines and a 132 kV grid interconnection, located in Punjab. The role is focused on maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliability of electrical systems supporting steam turbine operation and grid export.

🕒 Experience Required: 7 Years (Steam Turbine Power Plant experience preferred)
📝 Key Responsibilities:
· Carry out preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment including power transformers, generators, motors, batteries, chargers, and associated auxiliaries.
· Troubleshoot electrical faults in power and control circuits, MCC panels, switchgear, protection circuits, and field devices.
· Perform maintenance and testing of power transformers including oil sampling, BDV testing coordination, protection checks, and condition monitoring.
· Maintain and troubleshoot motors, starters, VFDs (if applicable), heaters, space heaters, and motor protection circuits.
· Maintain and troubleshoot DC systems including battery banks, battery chargers, UPS, and control DC circuits.
· Read and interpret electrical drawings, single line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and control schematics for effective fault diagnosis.
· Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, breakdowns, test results, and equipment history.
· Strictly follow electrical safety rules, LOTO, permit-to-work system, and statutory safety requirements.

🎯 Required Skills & Competencies:
· Strong hands-on experience in electrical maintenance and troubleshooting in steam turbine or cogeneration power plants.
· Solid understanding of generators, excitation systems, transformers, motors, and plant auxiliaries.
· Ability to diagnose issues in control circuits, interlocks, and power circuits under operating conditions.
· Familiarity with electrical test instruments and field troubleshooting practices.
· Basic reporting skills using MS Word and Excel.
· Safety-focused mindset with disciplined work practices.
