Role Overview
To manage and execute all cash-related transactions, including daily wages, contractor labor payments, overtime disbursements, employee reimbursements, freight charges, and emergency cash purchases. The cashier must ensure accuracy, transparency, and proper documentation of all cash transactions.
- Process daily wage payments for factory labor, temporary workers, and contractor staff.
- Disburse labor salaries, overtime, freight, and transportation payments as per approved lists.
- Handle employee reimbursement payments with proper approvals and receipts.
- Execute urgent cash purchases for production, maintenance, and other departments.
- Maintain adequate cash balance and ensure timely cash withdrawals when required.
- Keep all cash secured in the designated cash box/locker.
- Record all cash inflows/outflows daily and prepare the daily cash summary for Finance Manager.
- Maintain updated labor sheets, contractor payment records, and reimbursement logs.
- Support month-end closing and audits by providing accurate cash reports and documents.
- Ensure all payments follow company policies, verify lists before disbursement, and report discrepancies immediately.
What we’re looking for
- Intermediate or Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Accounting.
- 5 to 7 years’ experience in cash handling, preferably in manufacturing or labor-intensive environments
- Good understanding of basic accounting, cash book maintenance, and documentation
