Pakistan Refinery Limited is seeking profiles for the position of Senior Supervisor Instrumentation & Control in our Engineering (Instruments) Department.

Job Purpose: The Senior Supervisor – Instrumentation & Control will lead maintenance activities for Control Valves and Safety Relief Valves within the refinery, ensuring their reliable and safe operation. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in valve diagnostics, calibration, testing, and overhaul, as well as the ability to supervise technicians during routine and shutdown maintenance. Duties include fault diagnosis, troubleshooting to reduce downtime, and finetuning instruments to maintain accuracy and compliance with operational standards.
The role requires maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities, calibrations, and system performance, providing technical guidance to junior staff, ensuring compliance with control and relief valve standards, refinery safety procedures, and proactively identifying potential hazards.

Education: D.A.E. (Instrumentation / Electronics or Mechanical) (Preference for candidates with strong experience in Control Valve & Safety Relief Valve maintenance)

Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in Instrumentation & Control maintenance, with significant hands-on experience in Control Valves and Safety Relief Valves in Oil & Gas, Refinery, or Petrochemical industries.

Technical Competencies:
▪ Strong expertise in maintenance, calibration, testing, and overhaul of Control Valves and Safety Relief Valves (SRVs).
▪ In-depth understanding of instrumentation principles, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic systems.
▪ Ability to diagnose and resolve complex instrumentation and valve-related issues.
▪ Proficient in reading and interpreting P&IDs, control narratives, cable & conduit schedules, hookup drawings, JB drawings, and cause & effect diagrams.
▪ Knowledge of permit-to-work systems and refinery safety practices.
▪ Good understanding of international standards such as ISA, IEC, API, and ASME. Non-Technical Competencies: Strong time management, communication, and teamwork skills.
