Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead our Foreign Remittances Unit. The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end processing of remittance transactions, FCY collections, SCRA, RDA transactions and associated regulatory reporting. The role demands a strong command of foreign exchange regulations, AML/CFT compliance, NOSTRO reconciliation, and international payment protocols (SWIFT, MT103, MT199, etc.). The ideal candidate will demonstrate operational excellence, regulatory rigor and an ability to enhance correspondent banking relationships and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the unit responsible for efficient and compliant processing of all inward and outward remittance activities, including FCY collections, SCRA, and RDA transactions.
Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of NOSTRO accounts, and oversee screening of SWIFT messages, payment investigations, and error resolution.
Ensure full compliance with State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) guidelines, particularly for corporate and commercial remittance transactions.
Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement in service delivery to internal and external stakeholders.
Strengthen corporate client relationships and maintain robust ties with international correspondent and intermediary financial institutions.
Prepare, review, and submit all required regulatory reports related to foreign exchange and remittance transactions.
Lead the implementation of process improvements and automation initiatives to increase efficiency and mitigate operational risks.
Manage and develop team performance through coaching, delegation, and performance monitoring.
Act as a key point of contact for regulatory bodies and ensure timely resolution of compliance and audit queries.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in foreign remittances, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
Strong understanding of SBP’s Foreign Exchange Manual and related regulatory frameworks.
Solid knowledge of AML/CFT guidelines applicable to cross-border transactions.
Expertise in international remittance systems, global payment networks, and SWIFT messaging formats (MT103, MT199, MT202, etc.).
