BYD Pakistan, Mega Motor Co, is looking for a “Head of Plant Engineering & Maintenance” in their Plant Operations Department.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering

Experience:
9+ years of post-qualification experience.

Location: Gharo

The Head of Plant Engineering & Maintenance will be responsible for developing long, mid, and short-term strategies for Plant Engineering, Maintenance, and Utilities, along with setting key performance indicators. This includes establishing and maintaining effective maintenance procedures, such as planning, scheduling, material support, and cost and performance analysis.

The role involves developing and implementing corrective, predictive, and preventive maintenance systems for plant equipment to ensure smooth operations. The individual will oversee the overall maintenance, operations, and continuous improvements to minimize downtime, optimize efficiency, and increase productivity. Budgeting and control of utilities (Electricity, Gas) and expenses will be a key aspect, identifying non-conformance, and planning improvement activities to ensure effective cost control. A focus on maintaining a safe and healthy work environment is critical, with responsibility for ensuring compliance with all applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations.

Additionally, the Plant Engineering Manager will ensure that all buildings, utilities, and plant equipment and machinery are operated and maintained in a safe manner and in accordance with established standards.
The ideal candidate will have extensive technical expertise in Mechanical, Industrial, and Electrical Engineering, with a strong track record of managing complex projects while maintaining safety, efficiency, and sustainability in plant operations.
