Beaconhouse National University (BNU) is looking to hire a competent and detail-oriented Accountant to join its Finance Department. The selected candidate will be responsible for a range of financial functions, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance — with a special focus on research, grant, and externally funded projects managed by the university.

Key Responsibilities:

-Assist in university-wide financial planning, budgeting, and reporting in accordance with institutional policies.
-Maintain accurate and comprehensive accounting records for projects and grants.
-Manage the financial aspects of externally funded projects, including budgeting, disbursement, fund utilization, and financial reporting.
-Ensure timely and accurate preparation of internal and external financial reports, including those for international donors.
-Maintain organized and compliant financial documentation for research and grant-funded projects.
-Monitor project and departmental budgets, conduct variance analysis, and provide financial insights to support decision-making.
-Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws, donor regulations, and institutional financial policies.
-Liaise with academic and administrative departments to ensure alignment of programmatic and financial reporting.
-Prepare audit-ready documentation and support internal and external audits.
-Contribute to overall Finance Department goals and support cross-functional collaboration within the university.

Requirements:

-Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferably ACCA, CA-Inter, CMA, or equivalent.
-Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience, ideally within a university, donor-funded, or nonprofit environment.
-Hands-on experience in project accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
-Exposure to grant compliance, donor reporting, and externally funded project financials.

Skills:

-Proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting tools.
-Strong knowledge of financial planning, forecasting, and variance analysis.
-Excellent organizational and time management skills.
-Strong communication, coordination, and analytical abilities.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
