Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance of Group Sanctions directives and to review, assess and provide compliance opinion related to country specific sanctions of trade transactions.
Supervise and guide Sanctions Teams related to Screening of Trade Documents and Transactions Screening against all applicable Sanctions list.
Ensure that AML/ CFT regulations are reviewed, assessed and robust controls are developed and put in place for mitigating AML/ CFT related compliance risk.
Supervise and responsible for ensuring sanctions regime including TFS related to UNSC Resolution 1267 and 1373 in pan Pakistan Branches and reporting the same to SBP and FMU.
Ensure sanction due diligence of all cross border payment transactions including trade transactions and subsequent take decision to report the suspicious transactions to FMU.
Conduct specific reviews and assessment with respect to SANCTIONS compliance.
Assist Head of CFT, Sanction Surveillance & LEA Investigations in all AML/ CFT/ CPF and other regulatory Compliance.
Review, Investigate and Analyze the suspicious activity report related to Terrorist Financing.
Prepare Operational Circulars based on AML/CFT/CPF regulations and Guidelines on UNSC Resolutions to provide stronger focus and significantly reducing Bank’s exposure to AML/ CFT/ CPF risks.
Identify gaps in existing processes and developed new processes in order to align with AML/CFT regulation and guideline.
Ensure proper maintenance of MIS with respect to assigned tasks and timely reporting of data regarding BRMCC & QCR to Unit Head / Head FFC / Head of Compliance.
