JOB SUMMARY:

The post holder will work as part of a team to provide a safe, cost-effective, efficient care environment for patients, relatives, and

careers. He/ she will be expected to function clinically within the Operating Department and other associated areas as required. Will participate in the training of junior staff and continue the personal and professional development by rotating within the perioperative department.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leading, organized, and managed the delivery of the Operation Theatre.
Supervised and educated Junior Staff, assistants, and Aids.
Communicate and ensure compliance with the Hospital policies and procedures, and be involved in Department Audits
Formulating Department SOPs / Policies / Documentations- having all Implemented
Organize and provide optimum services to the patients who are admitted for surgery.
Maintains a safe environment when caring for patients, including those patients requiring frequent levels of Monitoring.
Ensure Quality Management System & Occupational Health Care Management System is in place.
Establish and maintain appropriate facilities, equipment, and supplies.
Responsible for the current trends and new developments required in O.T.
Develop a risk management plan for the O.T. to access and control environmental, physical, and infectious needs.
Promotes a safe and clean environment for staff and patients through in-service education.

KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCES:

Administrative capabilities – Leadership skills.
Specialist Clinical Leaders & Head of the O.T.
Maintains accurate, contemporaneous, and legible written records of care where required and accurately completes
Conduct marketing activities to promote referrals.
Establish and maintain appropriate facilities, equipment, and supplies.
Excellence in Personal Effectiveness – IT literate
Excellent Team building skills

REQUIREMENTS:

Academic Qualification: Graduate in Science and Master’s Degree as per the field relevance
Professional Qualification: Relevant Operation Theatre courses and certifications.
ACLS, BLS Certified.
Work Experience: 7-8 years & above is preferred.
