Job Title: Assistant Manager Procurement – Imports

Location: Port Qasim Plant, Karachi

Key Accountabilities:

Responsible for fulfilling business requirements by effective, quality & efficient sourcing of imported goods/service/solutions in a timely, efficient, safe & compliant manner, whilst maintaining conformance to Co. SOPs, applicable standards and statutory requirements.
Deliver OTIF (on time in full) procurement and work with suppliers to identify the latest market/consumer trend and cost-effective solutions to contribute to procurement excellence.
Work closely with the Business to assess their needs and propose optimum solutions.
Ensure Competitive supplier selection and development.
Identifying opportunities, negotiation, promote internally and executive savings projects.
Build and develop supplier relationships, focus on value, innovation, sustainability, and growth.
Negotiate value-driven agreements that are in line with defined commercial and legal requirements and subsequently manage the supplier relationships & delivery.
Ensure inventory is accurately recorded in internal supply chain systems/ERP.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Behaviors:

Min. Bachelor’s degree-BBA or B.E. of any discipline.
Minimum 02 Years of Experience of professional hands-on experience in subject/respective area, preferably in a large manufacturing setup with a focus on procurement operations, inventory management, and contracts management.
SAP MM Module and ARIBA know-how is preferred.
Knowledge of Supplies & Materials utilized in Technical/Engineering & Manufacturing Operations.
Knowledge of business/contractual law is preferred.
Negotiation Skills.
Vendor/Supplier Management.
MS Office Proficiency (Basic).
Analytical Skills.
Soft Skills: Strong Communication Skills, Managing Stakeholders, Organizing and Planning Skills, Problem Solving Skills, Attention to Detail, Result Oriented and Time Management.

Work closely with the Business to assess their needs, acquire deep value chain understanding & industry insight and apply best practices to optimize sourcing, supplier activities and efficiencies.

Build and develop strategic supplier relationships, focus on value, innovation, sustainability, and growth.
Lead negotiations on contract, innovation & operating issues with suppliers. Negotiate value driven agreements that are in line with defined commercial and legal requirements and subsequently manage the supplier relationships & delivery.
Measure and manage overall performance of suppliers and ensure their compliance to Co.’s Procurement Policy.
Ensure inventory is accurately recorded in internal supply chain systems/ERP.

Min. 05 years of professional hands-on experience in subject/respective area, preferably in a large manufacturing setup with a focus on procurement operations, inventory management, and contracts management.
