Job Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis:
- Collect and analyze data related to supply chain performance, purchasing trends, inventory levels, and product categories.
- Use statistical tools to identify trends, forecast demand, and support decision-making processes.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor stock levels and inventory turnover rates to ensure efficient supply chain operations.
- Develop strategies to reduce excess inventory and minimize stockouts.
- Reporting:
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on supply chain metrics and category performance for stakeholders.
- Communicate findings and recommendations for improvement.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify inefficiencies in supply chain processes and propose solutions to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements.
- Market Research:
- Conduct market analysis to understand competitive positioning and trends within specific categories.
- Provide insights to inform category management strategies.
Skills:
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL) to interpret complex data sets effectively.
- Problem Solving: Ability to assess problems, develop solutions, and implement changes.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present findings clearly to various stakeholders.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with supply chain software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in supply chain management, category analysis, or a related field.
- Education: Master’s Degree preferred in supply chain management or a related field.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of supply chain processes, category management principles, and market dynamics relevant to the organization.
