CAREER OPPORTUNITY

Position: Chief Medical Officer

Our Client, Pakistan Reinsurance Company Limited (PRCL), invites applications from eligible individuals to serve as Chief Medical Officer on a contractual basis. Applicants should possess the following qualifications, experience, and meet the specified age limit:

Key Responsibilities:

The Chief Medical Officer will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
- Visit the head office daily for 5 hours and scrutinize medical files, bills of panel hospitals, etc.
- Check, verify, and countersign the claims of employees and their families for medical reimbursements from PRCL.
- Attend patients for consultations as per the PRCL HR Manual and issue reference letters or any other advice as contained in the treatment clause of the PRCL HR Manual.
- Carry out medical examinations of all newly recruited employees.
- Refer patients to panel hospitals or approved specialists, as required.
- Conduct random visits to employees or their families at panel hospitals where they are admitted and liaise with the panel hospital authorities for the best possible treatment of the patients.
- Provide technical assistance to the Administration Department of PRCL regarding medical facility-related functions.
- Assist PRCL in implementing medical rules, regulations, and policies for medical attendance.
- Perform any other task assigned by the Chief Executive Officer of PRCL or any authorized officer of PRCL.

Education:

MBBS from a recognized and well-reputed institute recognized by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.
MCPS Family Medicine or an equivalent Foreign Qualification, or higher qualification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, will be a plus.

Experience:

Must have at least 4 years’ experience in healthcare administration of a corporate setup, company, or hospital as of the last date of submission of the application.

Age:

Maximum 55 years of age on the closing date of the applications.

Terms and Conditions:

The selection will be based on merit, in accordance with the criteria prescribed in this advertisement.
The interviewing committee will be the competent authority to finalize the order of merit on the basis of the candidates’ performance in the interview.
The appointment will initially be for two years; however, it is extendable based on the need of the company and mutual agreement between both parties, subject to the approval of the competent authority.
The selected candidate will be paid a fixed monthly amount as a consultancy fee, mutually decided in the interview, commensurate with relevant verifiable experience.
The selected candidate will report to the Chief Administration Officer or any other officer authorized by the CAO.
The work may require traveling within or outside Pakistan, but such travel will be strictly subject to prior approval by the CEO.
