HABIBMETRO is inviting applications for “Credit Analyst”, “OG – 1 / AVP II” for Credit Division.

Experience:- 3 or more yrs. of experience in similar role.

Technical Skillset:-

· Knowledge of Bank’s policies and procedures vis-à-vis credit.
· Understanding of prevalent regulatory requirements.
· Good analytical and drafting skills and proficiency in MS Office

Regular Duties:-

· To determine the degree of risks involved in extending credit or lending money by conducting comprehensive credit and financial risk analysis
· To coordinate with RMs / Business unit for ideal structuring of credit limits while ensuring that credit quality is not compromised.
· To prepare notes on assigned credit proposals for onward recommendation and approval after ensuring that all requirements related to the risk assessment, as per the Bank’s Policy and Prudential Regulations, have been checked.
· To liaise with stake holders, especially work in close coordination with RMs/TLs for want of additional information with reference to understanding character of the borrower (including but not limited to its attitude, capacity and willingness to repay), potential with reference to business growth prospects, future projects / revenue / projections, credit history, allied concerns, directors’ detail, vendor detail etc. for effective handling of the credit proposals.
· To visit or invite the customer / representative for want of clarifications vis-à-vis pre disbursement process of the proposals.
· To coordinate with Operational Risk Unit [Risk Management] for all operational risk matters
· pertaining to Credit Division including but not limited to reporting and revision of Key Risk Indicators, providing reason for breaches, conducting Risk Control Self-Assessment etc.
· To liaise with Internal Control Unit [Finance] for testing and review of internal controls over financial reporting.

Experience:- 8 or more yrs. of experience in similar role.

Technical Skillset:-

Knowledge of Bank’s policies and procedures vis-à-vis credit.
Understanding of prevalent regulatory requirements.
Good analytical and drafting skills and proficiency in MS Office

Regular Duties:-

To assess each credit proposal with reference to complete profile of the borrowers; i.e. the character, attitude, financial risk profile, previous performance records, repayment capacity etc., while evaluating the credit requests for all sorts of requirements (including fresh relationships/ renewals/ enhancements/ waivers) on the basis of financial / industry / sector analysis and security adequacy review.
To assess and analyze credit proposals for complete analysis with reference to:-

industry and sector/market analysis
group / company assessment (past and present performance)
credit worthiness / relationship with other FIs
growth / future prospects
alignment with regulatory requirements in line with internal control / credit policy.

To ensure that credit facilities have been properly structured and there is no violation of internal or external regulations/policies.
To review loan and security documentations. To monitor security coverage ratio, financial covenants, and other important undertakings.
To draft, review, add recommendations for revision of proposed transactions for both short and long term along with its related documentation.
To coordinate with TLs / SRMs for ideal structuring of the credit limits in line with the client’s financial needs after ensuring that all requirements related to the risk involvement are checked as per the Bank’s Policy and Regulations.
To identify possible gaps in performance and, wherever required, to enforce repayments, loan restructuring – in the event of classification etc.
To liaise with Internal / External / Regulatory Auditors for the audit of Credit Proposals and other reporting.
