HOPSCOTCH® a kidswear brand operating since 2014, having a presence in the major cities of Pakistan, is looking for an “Assistant Manager Accounts & Finance” to join its Finance team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting and finance department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and payroll
- Prepare financial statements and reports for management and stakeholders, including monthly financial statements, cash flow forecasts, and annual budgets
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business decisions, including pricing, inventory management, and capital expenditures
- Work closely with other departments, including sales, marketing, and operations, to provide financial support and ensure alignment with company goals
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and tax authorities
- Develop and mentor accounting and finance team members to ensure a high level of performance and job satisfaction
- Oversee month / quarter end financial close.
- Ensure compliance for donor and entity audits and act as a liaison person during audits.
- Assist Head of Finance/CFO & CEO in developing and updating strategic/ business plan.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree/ member of ACMA, ACCA, ICMA or CMA certification preferred
- 5+ years of experience in accounting and finance, preferably in the retail industry
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations, including IFRS and GAAP
- Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external stakeholders
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills
- Experience with accounting software.
