MCB Islamic Bank is inviting CVs for the position of “Unit Head Software Development” based in Lahore. Please only apply if you fulfill the criteria mentioned in the job details.

LOCATION: Lahore

QUALIFICATION: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Sciences /Engineering or equivalent from HEC recognized/foreign university.

JOB PROFILE: Hands on experience in Java, PHP, Oracle PL/SQL, MS SQL Server, MySQL, Code Repository tools (SVN etc.)

KEY SKILL SET:

JAVA core, Generics, Java Streams /J2ee Programming / software/server side programming JSF, Servlets Spring Core, Spring MVC, Spring Boot-Java, Spring Restful Service, Micro services pattern and containers, JSON, XML, Maven, Hibernate, JavaScript, JQuery ,HTML5/CSS, JPA, AJAX, Progressive enhancement, Responsive design, Rest APIs, Web Services, Eclipse, Tomcat, WebLogic, Soup UI.

EXPERIENCE:

5-10 years in Business/IT core java along with Web Services, Front End, backend servers and minimum 5 years of experience in Banking Industry is must.

DESIRED SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work with Department Head S/W Development & Integration and Business Teams for required application development and to monitor, update and communicate project timelines and milestones, obtain senior management feedback, understand potential technical speed bumps and business’s true concerns/needs.
Determine and recommend the future and scope of present and future software by reviewing product specifications.
Complete Operational requirements by Scheduling, assigning task to developers and follow up on, work results.
Provide development and support if any required in existing business applications for smooth BAU. Make sure the availability of technical documentation of business applications along with user manuals.
Manage resources to meet business requirements & agreed timelines of required Business applications.
Set priorities for the team, get results across boundaries, ensure an inclusive work environment, team development, and manage resource performance.
Provide technical knowledge and support to team and also keep a check on source code management and also ensures quality standards of coding & overall products are being maintained.
Any special assignment handed by the manager or reporting lead.
