Position: Deputy Manager Engineering

Minimum Qualification: BSE Mechatronics/Industrial/Civil Engineering /B Tech Hons Mechatronics/Industrial/Civil Technology.

Minimum experience: 07-08 years working experience at a similar position in FMCG industries, Pharmaceutical industry experience will be preferred.

Job Description

Effectively set, prioritize and deliver the site maintenance and reliability strategy, taking into consideration – data collection, criticality assessments, predictive and preventative maintenance, planning, and scheduling.
Work in close partnership with the Plant operation management team to identify, resolve and communicate issues impacting production, Health & Safety as well as Quality.
Drive to zero breakdowns by leading the asset management and maintenance/reliability strategy program.
Plan & manage plant shutdown engineering works with an assurance of critical spares.
Effectively manage the team to deliver KPI targets.

Planning & managing construction, Renovation & maintenance-related issues.
Monitor work as per design, specifications, standards, and conditions of contract.
Supervise engineer’s team in day-to-day activities, prepare and submit weekly plans and weekly reports of the entire team.
Track schedules and cost variances for all assigned Engineering Tasks.
Ensure smooth progress & completion of projects within budget, time & quality.
Prepare and submit budget/cost estimates, Calculate ROI and Payback period of new developments at the plant.
Prepare progress reports and variation reports in case of scope and/or cost variance, based on justifiable reasons.
Assist the engineering department in searching for alternative materials/sources and cost-effective methods
Ensure quality compliance on all maintenance works & new projects.
Strong knowledge about GMP and all other Pharmaceuticals guidelines including ISO standards, 9001,14001,18001,45001, and 50001.

Competencies & Skills Required:

Effective Communication Skills
Good Presentation skills
Sound knowledge of Plant machines & Building maintenance, materials, structural design, contractor management, scheduling, budgeting, BoQs, MS Office, and AutoCAD, plus experience in handling multiple contractors.
Proficient in written and verbal English.
Should be able to read all Arch, structural, electrical & plumbing drawings, etc.
