Ismail Industries Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Cost Controller to oversee factory costing, financial planning, and performance analysis while driving cost optimization, operational efficiency, and strong financial controls across manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and review Bills of Materials (BOMs), routing structures, standard and moving average cost estimates, and activity rates in SAP, ensuring accurate line-wise and product-wise factory overhead measurement.
Lead plant-level month-end closing, ensuring accurate accruals, work-in-progress (WIP) valuations, and cost allocations in coordination with Corporate Reporting teams.
Oversee periodic cycle counts and annual stock audits for raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and spare parts, including write-offs and provisions for slow-moving and obsolete inventory.
Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly variance analysis covering material usage, recipe adherence, scrap, yield losses, spillage, purchase price fluctuations, labor, overtime, line efficiency, and overhead absorption.
Analyze fixed and variable conversion costs and benchmark production lines to identify opportunities for unit-cost reduction and operational efficiency.
Lead annual factory budgeting and periodic forecasting, covering labor, energy, maintenance, and overheads, while aligning cost absorption models with production schedules, capacity utilization, and seasonal volume changes.
Partner with Plant Management, Engineering, and Operations to translate operational metrics, including OEE, yield, and waste, into financial insights and improvement opportunities.
Prepare financial appraisals, including NPV, IRR, and payback analysis, for automation, line expansion, and debottlenecking projects; monitor CapEx against approved budgets and conduct post-commissioning audits.
Collaborate with Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma teams to quantify savings from waste reduction, energy efficiency, and process improvement initiatives.
Establish and enforce internal controls across factory operations, gate checks, scrap disposal, and goods receipt procedures, ensuring compliance with IFRS, corporate policies, and statutory requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

CA/ACCA/CIMA/ICMAP Qualified, or MBA (Finance)
6–8 years of relevant experience
Strong proficiency in SAP, particularly CO-PC, CO-PA, and MM modules.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to translate shop-floor metrics, including yield, line speed, and scrap rates, into financial and P&L insights
Excellent interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills
