BYD Pakistan, Mega Motor Co, is hiring for multiple positions in our Projects Team on contractual basis. The position is located in our Gharo plant.

1. Structure Field Engineer:

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, construction management or a related field. Experience working with AutoCAD and validating quantities from the given drawings.

Experience: 5+ years of experience in quantity surveying or cost consulting, preferably in the construction industry.

The role involves reviewing drawings and RFQs from designers and consultants, monitoring the issuance of drawings, and performing calculations for loads and stresses. Additionally, the selection of appropriate construction materials, preparing sketches, and initiating services purchase requests are essential tasks.

Coordination with other departments is required to ensure smooth civil work operations, while liaising with consultants and architects is crucial. The role also includes assisting in preparing construction schedules, obtaining necessary permits, and ensuring work execution aligns with the latest drawings through inspections.

Knowledge of health and safety regulations, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure are critical. The candidate should also assist the HSE department with JSA preparation and adhere to safety standards during construction.

2. Quantity Surveyor:

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, construction management or a related field. Experience working with AutoCAD and validating quantities from the given drawings.

Experience: 5+ years of experience in quantity surveying or cost consulting, preferably in the construction industry.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of construction industry practices, regulations, and cost management techniques. Familiarity with contract administration, legal aspects, and various contracting methods (e.g., design-build, value-based) is essential. Experience in working with AutoCAD and validating quantities from drawings.

Proficiency in relevant software and tools for quantity surveying is necessary, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. The ability to manage multiple contractors simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively is key. A commitment to attention to detail and delivering high-quality work is expected.
