Job Opportunity – Mechanization Officer

• Location: Khanewal Farm (KWL)

FonGrow (Pvt.) Ltd. is seeking a highly competent and technically skilled Mechanization Officer to oversee the operation, maintenance, and management of all agricultural machinery and mechanized equipment at the Khanewal Farm. The role requires an individual with strong academic credentials (high CGPA), hands-on experience with farm machinery, and the ability to ensure efficient utilization and upkeep of all mechanized resources at the Khanewal Farm.

Key Responsibilities:

Machinery Operations & Management

• Oversee the operation and deployment of all agricultural machinery, including tractors, harvesters, planters, sprayers, and other farm mechanization equipment.
• Ensure optimal utilization of machinery during farming operations, such as land preparation, sowing, irrigation, spraying and harvesting.

Maintenance & Technical Oversight

• Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for all machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose technical faults and supervise repairs, servicing, and troubleshooting of machinery.
• Maintain detailed maintenance logs, service records, and equipment performance reports.
• Liaise with vendors and service providers for procurement of spare parts and technical services.

Inventory & Asset Management

• Maintain an updated inventory of machinery, spare parts, and tools.
• Monitor equipment condition and recommend replacement or upgrades when required.

Operational Supervision

• Supervise machinery operators and technical staff to ensure safe and efficient use of equipment.
• Provide guidance and training to farm operators for proper machinery usage and safety protocols and ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.

Reporting & Coordination

• Prepare periodic machinery utilization reports, maintenance reports and operational updates for management and assist in the evaluation of new farm machinery as required.

Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering (Farm Machinery & Power) / Mechanical Engineering from a reputable university.
• Strong academic record (high CGPA preferred).
• Prior training and hands-on experience with agricultural machinery and mechanization systems.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong technical knowledge of agricultural machinery and farm mechanization systems.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical faults and supervise repairs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good planning and operational management abilities.
• Proficiency in record keeping and reporting.
