ASSISTANT MANAGER NURSING
LOCATION: DR. ZIAUDDIN HOSPITAL, HEAD OFFICE NORTH NAZIMABAD CAMPUS.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Assistant Nursing Manager works under the supervision of the Nursing Manager, ensuring the efficient daily operations of the nursing department. This role oversees administrative functions, supports staff management, and upholds quality nursing care standards. The AM ensures that patient care is delivered professionally and in compliance with established protocols, contributing to the overall effectiveness of nursing services.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Visit all wards of the hospital on daily basis for ensuring effective and timely nursing care to the patients and keep a record of same – to share the report to the assigned authorities as per hospital requirement.
- Assess and resolve patient’s and attendant’s issues/problems on daily basis.
- Coordinate with health care professionals (including doctors, dietician, and pharmacist) and others such as front officers, house-keeping supervisors, and maintenance supervisors, in resolving patient-care issues.
- Monitor and guide the nursing staff to follow hospital’s rules and maintain professional attributes.
- Assisting Nursing Manager in Maintaining nursing guidelines and updating policies and procedures. Also keeping a record of all relevant documentations.
- Coordinate with the Unit Manager and/or Director of nursing to accomplish facility and patient-care goals.
KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCES:
- Administrative capabilities – Leadership skills.
- Good knowledge of Employee relations and knowledge of nursing procedures.
- Updated on latest development of Nursing Care / Profession.
- Able to conduct conferences, meeting with principle, ward In-Charges and other Nursing staff.
- Well aware of the occupational healthcare and safety standards & be able to share the same to same to junior staff.
- Supervise care delivery systems to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Identify and assist in solving clinical and administrative problems.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Academic Qualification: Graduate / Prefer Masters in Nursing/ or Equivalence.
- Professional Qualification: RN / BScN + updated Registration with Pakistan Nursing Council. Relevant Certification / Courses.
- Work Experience: Minimum 6-8 years of clinical experience in recognized hospital.
