Executive Member PEMRA
Under Section 6 (1) & (3) and Section 7 (1) of the PEMRA Ordinance, 2002 as amended by the PEMRA (Amendment) Act, 2023, applications are invited for the post of Member on a full-time basis (Executive Member), Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA).
Eligibility:
- The candidate should have the following qualifications and experience: a. The candidate should be an eminent citizen with expertise in one or more of the following fields: media, law, human rights, and social service. b. The candidate must hold at least a Master’s Degree in Media Studies, Business Administration, Management, Finance, or Law from an HEC recognized University in Pakistan OR an equivalent degree from abroad. c. The maximum age limit for the post is 61 years on the closing date of the applications. d. Candidates will be judged based on relevant qualifications and professional work experience in prominent institutions, knowledge of electronic media, and an understanding of Media laws. e. Government servants meeting the eligibility criteria can also apply through the proper channel.
Responsibilities:
- The selected candidate will be required to function under the PEMRA Ordinance, 2002 as amended by PEMRA (Amendment) Act, 2023, and the Rules made thereunder.
Tenure:
- The position has a 4-year tenure; however, the incumbent will retire upon attaining the age of 65 years.
