SITUATION VACANT

Correspondence to the approval of the Board of Gwadar Port Authority (GPA) in its 54th Meeting held on June 07 2024, the GPA, Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Government of Pakistan, is seeking a highly accomplished, qualified, and motivated professional for the post of Executive Director, Pak-China Technical and Vocational Institute (PCTVI), Gwadar, who possess the required qualification and experience as under:

Essential Requirements

The Executive Director shall be the principal executive, financial and academic officer of the PCTVI in order to promote teaching, research, publication, financial discipline, national and international linkages, good governance, general efficiency and the efficient order of the Institute, therefore the applicant should:

Not be more than sixty (60) years of age on the last date fixed for the submission of application.
Have earned a Ph.D. in the field of Economics/Engineering/Management/Public Administration from a reputed HEC recognized University. Preference will be given to the PhDs from one of the top 100 universities in the QS Ranking.
Have at least 18 years of teaching/research experience in any HEC-recognized University/Technical and Vocational Institute in total. 10 years of administrative experience (after completion of PhD) of working in a senior academic, research and management and leadership positions, including chairperson, dean, director, pro-VC/VC with a record of impressive responsibility and authority in any recognized Technical and Vocational Institute/ University.
Have excellent research publication record that, at a minimum, meet the criteria for appointment as a Professor in the University with minimum of 20 peer reviewed HEC recognized publications. Preference would be given to Journals indexed in the HRJS system of HEC (https://hrjs.gov.pk).

Terms of Appointment and Salary

The Executive Director shall be appointed for a term of four years and serves at the pleasure of the Gwadar Port Authority Board. The incumbent will be entitled for the BPS salary of grade 20/21, or as specified by the Selection Board or the Board of Gwadar Port Authority.

Only shortlisted candidates will be called for test/interview.
Short-listing of the candidates shall be made in accordance with the procedure laid down by PCTVI/GPA.
The PCTVI/PGA reserves the right not to fill/withdraw advertised post/ withheld appointment against the post for reasons to be recorded.
