Descon Engineering Services and Technology is looking for the candidates against below vacant position for Overseas Project:

Position: Lead Piping Design Engineer
Location: Jubail, KSA

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, the following.
Functioning as lead piping engineer on projects / proposals.
Supervising and leading a team of piping engineers, designers to execute the tasks and preparing the deliverables ensuring optimum quality, on-time and within budget delivery.
Performing engineering calculations, doing stress analysis, generating specifications / RFQs, managing technical bid clarifications with vendors, and reviewing the final vendor documents.
Providing quality control reviews of work developed by others.
Providing technical expertise and able to present complex technical solutions to clients.
Developing task and deliverable list with associated hours estimate and schedule to support business development activities.
Support projects through complete life cycle including the feasibility phase, preliminary and detailed design, issue for bid, construction, start-up and commissioning.
Collaborate with multi-discipline technical leads to integrate piping across the full spectrum of project.

QUALIFICATION

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical / chemical engineering
Possession of higher qualifications will be an added advantage.
Minimum 10 years of experience primarily in onshore piping design in the oil & gas, petrochemical industry.
Candidates with transferable iqama will be given preference.

SKILLS:

Good knowledge of relevant plant & piping layout design codes & standards.
Technical knowledge of engineering systems (2D, 3D) and piping design calculations.
Knowledge of project controls within discipline.
Ability to work in multi-disciplinary project team’s environment.
Good inter-personal leadership, coaching, communication and presentation skills.
Experienced in estimating man-hours and materials for most aspects of work.
