Responsibilities:

Facilitate the implementation of high standards and active learning across the EYE curriculum.
Ensure high quality and effective learning of students across the Early Years through continuous support.
Coordinate and evaluate continuity and progression across the EYE schools assigned by shared practice and focused classroom observations.
Work to ensure all EYFS/KS1 staff have an understanding of the EYFS curriculum and support the implementation of strategies to regularly track value added across Early Years.
Facilitate implementation and evaluation of agreed development strategies on the School Improvement Plan in terms of measurable success criteria.
To be a collaborative Early Years team member and provide mentoring and support to teachers.
To be committed to professional development and training.
Ensure effective and timely communication with all colleagues.
Embrace and encourage the ethos and standards of excellence of The City School.
Implement and support any decisions and policies the Senior Leadership Team makes.
Observe all company policies and procedures including health and safety.

Responsibilities:

To commit time and leadership to the successful implementation of the School Improvement Plan.
To ensure that all teachers and support staff have a clear understanding of their performance expectations (e.g., job descriptions and faculty handbook) and to assist faculty towards becoming master teachers.
To demonstrate role-model traits that enable others to recognise the Vice Principal as a leader.
To seek management harmony and to instil a sense of common purpose and common pursuit toward consensus goals with regards to the decision-making process.
To develop the leadership capabilities of teachers so that instructional leadership becomes a shared responsibility.
To develop meaningful curriculum for the social and emotional well-being of students as leaders.
To participate in the development of curriculum documentation that specifies content and skills, instructional methods, and assessment practices.
To ensure that all of the School’s resources are identified and being used to serve students and faculty members alike; help both to reach their full performance potential.
To assume the responsibility for sound financial management including accurate programme budget planning and fiscal accountability.
To have a personal commitment to seek constant professional learning and professional growth and to be a life-long learner.
Ensure that clear targets are assigned to all Heads of Department and that job descriptions and KPIs are in place for all employees within the School.
Perform other duties as requested by Senior Management.
