Qualification: M.Sc. (Horticulture / Agronomy) – preferably rural background.
Description:
Job Purpose:
The incumbent is responsible for Farm Advisory services, visit of HEIS farmers to provide solutions on Crop production, Extension Service, Farm Management, Field Trial Experimentation, Data Collection, Data Analysis, Demonstration and Literature Development. And will also be responsible to create success stories of HEIS farmers.
Knowledge:
Computer Literacy – Microsoft Office, Ability to speak and write in English fluently and correctly, Water Management, Fertilization, Soil management, Agronomical practices, Basic Marketing Skills / knowledge, Selling Skills, Knowledge of crops specially Orchards, vegetables and field crops like i.e. Mango, Banana, Citrus, Papaya, Date palm, potato, Chilli, Tomato, Cucumber, Bitter gourd, watermelon, melon and Sugarcane, wheat, cotton and Rice crops.
Responsibilities:
Define the critical geographical areas and crops susceptible to generate first movers.
Develops main frame recommendation / literature / guidelines for the defined crops / geographical areas / water management schedule / soil and water analysis / adaptation of fertilization management program schedule / cultivation practices / soil and water suitability for intended crops
Provide assistance to Zonal Manager to achieve the sales targets by visiting big prospective customers identified through the sales team and giving them sales call
Prepares guidelines for the proper carrying out of the recommended Agronomical practices and ensure the implementation through sales staff
Visit different installation sites and ensure that installation SOP is followed by the Sales Team
Create success stories by giving Agronomical recommendation and documenting the success stories on Economic Analysis Report of individual projects.
Organizes and collects feedback of the impact on Agronomical practices and crop output from the drip irrigation user farmers
Create ambassador farmers at Tehsil level by giving appropriate agronomical recommendation.
