Internship Opportunities – Department of Archaeology & Museums (DOAM), Islamabad

The Department of Archaeology & Museums, Islamabad, invites applications for full-time internship positions (male/female) for a period of one year under the PSDP project titled:
“Establishment of Research & Development (R&D) Center at Department of Archaeology & Museums (DOAM) to promote Soft Image of Pakistan through Cultural Heritage”

Internship Details:

1. Field: Archaeology

1. No. of Positions: 01
2. Qualification: BS/Master’s/MPhil in Archaeology/Conservation Sciences from an HEC recognized institution
3. Responsibilities:
   • Digital documentation of heritage sites
   • Research-oriented assignments
   • Assisting the project team in preparation of UNESCO’s nomination dossiers
   • Assisting in arranging cultural caravans and educational tours
4. Field: Information Technology

2. No. of Positions: 01
3. Qualification: BS/Master’s in IT/Computer Science/Software from an HEC recognized institution
4. Responsibilities:
   • Developing and maintaining digital platforms
   • Assisting the project team in managing data databases
   • Creating interactive content
   • Assisting in virtual exhibitions and digital innovation
5. Field: Media/Social Media

3. No. of Positions: 01
4. Qualification: BS/Master’s in Mass Communication/Journalism
5. Responsibilities:
   • Assisting in content creation
   • Managing social media platforms
   • Assisting in promotion of documentaries, virtual tours, and heritage-related initiatives
6. Field: Graphic Designing

4. No. of Positions: 01
5. Qualification: BS/Master’s in Architecture from an HEC recognized institution
6. Responsibilities:
   • Creating visually appealing graphics, thumbnails, and banners
   • Using software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Canva
   • Designing digital illustrations and promotional materials
7. Field: Video Editing

5. No. of Positions: 01
6. Qualification: Graduate with minimum 6-month certificate/course/diploma in video editing
7. Responsibilities:
   • Plan, shoot, and produce high-quality video content
   • Expertise in Adobe Premiere and CapCut
   • Maintain and operate cameras, lighting, and other video/photo equipment

Additional Details:

• Only shortlisted candidates will be called for a test/interview.
• Internship tenure is one year.
• Monthly stipend: Rs. 50,000/-
• No TA/DA will be provided for test/interview.
• Late applications will not be entertained.
• DOAM reserves the right to select/reject or not to fill any position(s) without assigning any reason.
