SITUATIONS VACANT: Applications are invited for different positions from eligible candidates having domicile of Sindh along with attested photocopies of all relevant documents and a challan of Rs. 5000/- (non-refundable) as processing fee in favor of the Director Finance, Shaheed Allah Buksh Soomro University of Art, Design, and Heritages, Jamshoro. Applications should reach the university by the due date after the advertisement is published in the newspaper. Applicants must apply through the official website www.sabs.edu.pk/career.

1. Professor (BPS-21) – 03 Positions

Departments:

Communication Design (01), Textile Design (01), Fine Arts (01)

Qualification:

Ph.D. from an HEC-recognized university/institution in the relevant field.
OR Master’s (Foreign) / M.Phil. (or equivalent) in the relevant field from an HEC-recognized university.

Experience:

15 years teaching/research experience in an HEC-recognized university or relevant institution.
8 years post-Ph.D. teaching/research experience.
17 years of experience required for those with an M.Phil.

Minimum Publications:

12 research publications in HEC-recognized journals.

2. Professor (BPS-21) – 01 Position

Department: Architecture

Qualification & Experience:
Same as above.

Minimum Publications:

12 research publications in HEC-recognized journals OR recognition in national/international design competitions.

3. Associate Professor (BPS-20) – 03 Positions

Departments:

Communication Design (01), Textile Design (01), Fine Arts (01)

Qualification:

Ph.D. in the relevant field.
OR Master’s (Foreign) / M.Phil. (or equivalent).

Experience:

10 years teaching/research experience.
5 years post-Ph.D. teaching experience.

Minimum Publications:

Participation in six exhibitions at a national/international level.

4. Associate Professor (BPS-20) – 01 Position

Department: Architecture

Qualification & Experience:
Same as above.

Minimum Publications:

12 research publications OR participation in two major international exhibitions.

5. Assistant Professor (BPS-19) – 03 Positions

Departments:

Communication Design (01), Textile Design (01), Fine Arts (01)

Qualification:

Ph.D. in the relevant field OR M.Phil. (or equivalent) with 18 years of education.

Experience:

4 years teaching experience for M.Phil. holders.
6 years experience for Master’s holders.

6. Assistant Professor (BPS-19) – 01 Position

Department: Architecture

Qualification & Experience:
Same as above.

7. Lecturer (BPS-18) – 02 Positions

Departments:

Communication Design (01), Textile Design (01)

Qualification:

First Professional Degree (4 Years, First Division) from an HEC-recognized university.

Experience: Nil
Publications: Nil

8. Lecturer (BPS-18) – 01 Position

Department: Architecture

Qualification:

First Professional Degree (5 Years, First Division).

Experience & Publications: Nil

Terms & Conditions:

Applicants for Professor (BPS-21) must submit three copies of bio-data, experience details, and other relevant documents.
Lecturer applicants must have a valid GRE score (minimum 50%).
Faculty of Architecture must have PCATP registration.
Initial appointment will be on a contract basis for three years.
Only Sindh domicile holders can apply.
Candidates in Government/Semi-Government/Autonomous bodies must apply through the proper channel.
Applicants must submit separate forms for each post, with a separate challan.
Incomplete applications or those submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
The deadline for submission is April 10, 2025.
No TA/DA will be provided for interviews/tests.
The University reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of positions or cancel them altogether.
Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

Note: Candidates who applied in the previous advertisement (PID (H) 75/2022 dated 15/09/2022) must reapply, but they do not need to pay the challan fee again.
