Responsibilities:

Overseeing and managing construction activities on-site for a food facility project
Ensuring alignment with design specifications, safety regulations, and timelines
Maintaining the highest quality standards for food facility requirements

Specific Responsibilities:

Managing daily construction site activities and coordinating with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders
Reviewing and interpreting project plans, drawings, and specifications
Ensuring compliance with the project’s design and quality standards
Monitoring compliance with food facility-specific requirements (e.g., hygienic design, cleanroom standards)
Conducting regular inspections and testing of construction materials and methods
Addressing any deviations from the approved plans promptly
Ensuring adherence to local building codes, environmental regulations, and food industry-specific guidelines
Liaising with regulatory bodies during inspections or audits
Enforcing site safety protocols and conducting regular safety audits
Investigating and addressing any safety incidents
Acting as the main point of contact between the client, design teams, and contractors
Providing progress updates and resolving on-site issues in a timely manner
Monitoring the allocation and utilization of manpower, equipment, and materials
Ensuring that construction milestones and deadlines are met without compromising quality
Maintaining detailed site records, including daily logs, change orders, and material inventories
Preparing and submitting regular progress and performance reports to the project management team

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline
Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification (preferred)
Additional certifications in project management or construction (e.g., PMP, LEED) are a plus
Minimum 8-10 years of experience in managing industrial/factory construction projects
Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000), and regulatory compliance
Proven expertise in construction management, site supervision, and project delivery
