State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the Central Bank, regulates the monetary and credit system of the country and fosters its growth in the best national interest with a view to secure monetary stability and optimum utilization of the country’s productive resources. In order to further strengthen the institutional capacity in the area of IT Security and to meet emerging challenges, applications are invited from high calibre and dynamic professionals for the following position, based at Karachi.



Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)

Key responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to, the following:
Register & Apply Online	Ensure that information assets and technologies are adequately protected in line with SBP’s Strategic Plan and business needs.
	Develop, maintain and oversee policies, processes and control framework to address all applicable IT security requirements.
	Review IT security standards on a continuous basis with appropriate response planning.
	Develop and implement effective security monitoring of vulnerabilities, threats and events in network and host systems.
	Supervise the mechanism to detect, report, and mitigate incidents that may impair adequate data and infrastructure security.
	Ensure that the organization complies legal and other requirements to build and maintain a robust IT security infrastructure.
	Conduct IT security risk assessments and ensure that the senior management is timely communicated.
	Develop SOP to handle security incidents and direct a full enquiry with recommended courses of action.
	Anticipate new security threats and stay updated with growing challenges.
	Keep abreast with new laws/regulations and best practices related to IT security, business continuity/disaster recovery.
	Train & oversee personnel with significant IT security duties.
	Strengthen monitoring mechanism and controls especially from cyber threats.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification:

Masters or Bachelors Degree (16 years) in Computer Science/ Computer Systems / Computer Engineering / Management Information System or equivalent from HEC recognized institutions or from any reputable foreign university. Candidates having certification in CCISO, CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH or OSCP will be preferred.

Age:

Maximum 52 years, relaxable in case the candidate possesses exceptional qualification and relevant experience.

Experience:

18 years relevant post qualification experience of which 10 years should be at senior management level. Candidates having experience in international institutions will be preferred.

Competencies

	Sound understanding of business processes & operational KPIs.
	Security concepts related to DNS, routing, authentication, VPN, proxy services and DDO.
	ISO 27002, ITIL and COBIT frameworks.
	PCI, NIST and other compliance assessments.
	Firewall, intrusion detection /prevention protocols.
	Secure coding practices, ethical hacking and threat modeling.
	Network security architecture development.
	Sound management skills, strong leadership and motivational skills.
	Excellent presentation, communication, conflict management & problem solving skills.

Compansation

Competitive compensation package in salary scale of OG-7 with other perks and benefits as per Bank’s rules.
