Position Title: Manager Shariah Compliance (OG-I / AVP)

Qualification: • Minimum graduation or equivalent from a local or international university/college/institute recognized by the HEC.

• Candidates having Master’s degree ¹ in Islamic Banking/Finance or ACCA/CA Part qualified or those holding related certifications/diplomas or specializations in Islamic Finance or Jurisprudence from recognized universities/institutes will be preferred.  

• Candidates having CSAA certification.

• Strong drafting and communication skills are essential.

Experience: Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience.

Roles and Responsibilities: • Assist the Head of Shariah Compliance and RSBM in ensuring Shariah compliance within the regional setup of the organization.

• Correspond with the Head of Shariah Compliance and/or RSBM for seeking guidance on decision-making related to complex issues.

• Respond to internal, external audits and SBP regarding any regional Shariah issues.

• Conduct Shariah compliance reviews of contracts, transactions, policies, process flows, schedules of charges, and procedures.

• Identify non-compliance risks and recommend corrective measures.

• Collaborate with product development teams to structure Shariah-compliant products.

• Ensure that new products receive the necessary approvals from the Shariah department.

• Develop and deliver Shariah training programs for employees and stakeholders.

• Promote awareness of Shariah compliance requirements within the organization.

• Manage and maintain Shariah compliance records.

• Review compliance with SBP and Shariah Board guidelines.

• Prepare responses to Shariah compliance queries and conduct compliance reviews.

• Draft Shariah Compliance Review (SCR) reports and follow up on rectifications.

• Assist in implementing Shariah Board-prescribed enforcement actions.

• Perform any other tasks assigned by the Head of SCD.
