The Job: You as Manager, Business Development will be in charge of exceeding the revenue, transactions and locations targets for the assigned region. You will achieve this by proactively working with internal and external stakeholders and by managing relationships with key agents, identifying business opportunities and negotiating contracts with potential and existing Western Union agents. You will be responsible for the analysis of growth trends and macroeconomic factors for Pakistan and Afghanistan and together with the Marketing team for the development, implementation and evaluation of strategic marketing plans for these countries. You will gather and analyze market data, competition information and customer feedback to make recommendations to the management on how to drive the business forward. Moreover, you will collaborate with finance, compliance, marketing and operations on vital projects to keep the business moving in the right direction and assist WU Agents in the development of the subagent network.
About you: To be successful in this role you must have bachelor’s degree together with not less than 5 years’ experience in a client-facing role within the local banking industry with a focus on international remittances, funds transfer etc. You are familiar with local rules and regulations governing the banking and FI industry in order to effectively navigate through the legal and compliance landscape. In addition, you have a proven track record in either solution based selling, account management or marketing collaboration. You are able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment and possess analytical capacity along with innovative problem-solving skills. You have excellent PC skills (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and consider yourself fluent in Urdu and English, preferably in Pashto/Dari as well.
