FonGrow Pvt Limited, a subsidiary of Fauji Foundation, is looking for an Assistant Farm Manager (Agroforestry & Olive Plantation Specialist).
Position: Assistant Farm Manager (Agroforestry & Olive Plantation Specialist) Location: Dera Ghazi Khan & Daud Khel Job Type: Full-time
About Us:
FonGrow (Pvt) Limited, a subsidiary of Fauji Foundation, is a progressive agricultural enterprise specializing in sustainable agroforestry and high-value crop cultivation. We are pioneers in olive plantation development in Pakistan and are expanding our operations in integrated agroforestry systems.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing day-to-day operations of olive plantations and agroforestry systems.
- Supervise planting, maintenance, and harvesting of olive plants and companion crops.
- Implement modern agroforestry techniques for sustainable land use.
- Monitor plant health, irrigation, and soil conditions.
- Oversee pest and disease management programs.
- Train and supervise farm workers in best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of plantation activities and yields.
- Assist in research and development initiatives for olive cultivation.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and environmental regulations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, or related field.
- Minimum 4-5 years practical experience in olive cultivation and agroforestry.
- Strong knowledge of olive plant varieties suitable for Pakistani climate.
- Experience with intercropping systems in agroforestry.
- Familiarity with modern irrigation techniques (drip, sprinkler systems).
- Ability to operate and maintain farm machinery.
- Excellent supervisory and team management skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in olive cultivation or agroforestry.
- Experience with organic farming practices.
- Knowledge of olive oil extraction processes.
- Familiarity with GIS applications in agriculture.
