Plant Manager

The Plant Manager is primarily responsible for directing all plant activities related to steel, fabrication, production, scheduling, quality, product shipping and maintenance. The Plant Manager will maximize profits by maintaining an efficient and productive operation throughout the plant. The Plant Manager will work with the QC Department to implement provisions of a Quality Assurance program to make sure the customers receive the highest quality structural steel available for their projects.
Typical duties and responsibilities for the Plant Manager include:
• Full accountability for plant profits and losses
• Meets production objectives by forecasting job requirements and potential barriers
• Responsible for scheduling production as well as expenditures
• Establishes priorities, controls processes and resolves issues to maintain efficiency
• Effectively plan the use of personnel, production machinery and other resources
• Assures compliance with corporate regulations pertaining to Human Resources and Safety
• Works to improve production processes and procedures
