Job posting for a Senior Finance Officer position at Ziauddin University.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable functions, including processing invoice payments, entering manual payments, and issuing refunds.
- Reconcile vendor accounts and identify any discrepancies.
- Maintain both digital and physical financial records.
- Participate in annual audits and credit rating assignments.
- Enter financial transactions into accounting software and ensure accuracy in spreadsheets.
- Adhere strictly to pre-defined standard operating procedures (SOPs) and workflows.
- Coordinate and follow up with vendors and related departments regarding payments.
- Ensure timely processing and tracking of payments.
- Issue advances to suppliers and follow up accordingly.
- Possess knowledge of local taxation regulations.
- Interact with stakeholders, including the finance team and both internal and external parties.
Qualifications & Experiences:
- Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (4 Year Programme) & at least 2 years of experience are encouraged to apply.
- Partial qualification from professional bodies such as ICAP, ICMA, ACCA, PIFA, or CMA is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience with Oracle R-12 is an advantage.
- A proactive, “can-do” attitude.
