SITUATIONS VACANT: Applications are invited from Pakistani Nationals for the following posts on Regular / Contract Basis / TTS in the Department of Siraiki & University College of Nursing (UCN):

Professor (BPS-21) – Siraiki (1 position)

Criteria for Regular / Contract Appointment:

PhD degree in the relevant field from an HEC recognized university/institution.
18 years of teaching/research experience in an HEC recognized University or a Post-graduate Institution, or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization.
OR
12 years of post-Ph.D. teaching/research experience in an HEC recognized University/post-graduate Institution, or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization.
15 research publications (with at least 5 publications in the last 5 years) in journals recognized by the HEC.

Criteria for Appointment on Tenure Track System (TTS):

PhD from an HEC recognized institution in the relevant field.
11 years post-PhD experience, or a minimum of 7 years post-PhD experience, along with at least 12 years of experience prior to the PhD. The experience should be in teaching/research at a recognized university or a post-graduate institution, or professional experience in the relevant field in a national or international organization.
15 research publications (with at least 5 publications in the past 5 years) in internationally abstracted journals recognized for appointment on Tenure Track by the HEC.

Assistant Professor (BPS-19) – University College of Nursing (2 positions)

RN, RM with Post RN, MSN, MsPH/MPH:

3-5 years of experience in teaching and administration (preferred).
Minimum 2 publications in any recognized Nursing/Health Sciences Journal (with at least 1 of these publications in the last 2 years).
Valid PNC License.

BSN, MSN, MsPH/MPH:

3-5 years of experience in teaching and administration (preferred).
Minimum 2 publications in any recognized Nursing/Health Sciences Journal (with at least 1 of these publications in the last 2 years).
Valid PNC License.

Note
i. The foreign qualified candidates should attach Equivalence Certificate from the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC) Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC) whichever applicable.
ii. In case, degree has not been issued, a Certificate/Notification to that effect signed by the Controller of Examination (only) of degree awarding university might be accepted. In all cases, statement of experience must be supported by certificates from the employers.
iii. All Quotas will be observed as per rule.

How to apply:

i. All candidates may apply online through IUB website eportal.iub.edu.pk till 04.10.2024 i.e. last date for submission of online applications, followed by submission of 05 complete sets of applications for the post of Professor and 2 sets for the post of Assistant Professor and Lecturer bearing attested copies of degrees, certificates, one photograph for each set and one copy of the online fee challan (non-refundable) generated by online job application system amounting of Rs. 5000/- for the Post of Professor, Rs. 3000/- for the posts of Assistant Professor and Rs. 1500/- for the Post of Lecturer via Registered Mail through Pakistan Post / Courier Service, to the following address:

ii. Hard copies of application for each post should reach latest by 07.10.2024 i.e three days after the closing date of applying online. Incomplete applications or applications received after the due date will not be entertained even though posted before the last date.
iii. However, Special Persons are exempted from job applications fee and the candidates must upload and attached disability certificates with their application, issued by the Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Mall Department.
iv. Applicants are advised to provide their personal Mobile Number (not Portable Cell Number) at the time of submission of online applications, so that the SMS delivery can be ensured.
v. Candidates should fill in online form carefully for which detailed guidelines and instructions have been given on the Islamia University of Bahawalpur website eportal.iub.edu.pk. Editing Options, to correct any data, will be available to the candidates till the last date of submission of online applications. Applications other than ONLINE will not be accepted.
vi. Candidates applying for more than one post shall submit separate applications, as well as separate paid online processing fee challan.
vii. IUB employees willing to apply are directed to submit their hard copies of online applications form along with all requisite documents by the due date, through proper channel.
viii. All other In-service applicants must apply through proper channel by due date and submit their service/experience/No objection Certificates issued by their current and former employer, advance copy of application will not be entertained.

2. The university reserves the right:
i. Not to fill/withdraw any advertised post/withhold the appointment against any post, without assigning any reason thereof or consider a person for appointment in a lower grade against the post advertised.
ii. To shortlist the candidates on the basis of academic qualifications and experience/recruitment test. Only short-listed candidates will be called for test/interview. No TA/DA shall be admissible.
iii. To increase or decrease the number of vacancies as per availability of funds and its requirements.
iv. Nature of posts/jobs can be changed according to the need of the University.
v. The University is not responsible if call letters are not received due to any lapse of Courier Agency/Post Office/Telephonic Message & call.

3. Applications will be received only through registered mail/courier etc. by hand application will not be accepted.
4. All others in service applicants will have to attach NOC and service certificate from their employer along with the application.
5. Applicants are directed to clearly mention the Name of the Post applied for and Mode of Appointment on the top right corner of the envelope.
