WE ARE HIRING OFFICER – INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
About the Role:
We are looking for an IT Officer to manage and maintain IT systems, networks, hardware, and software while ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. The role will provide technical support to employees, troubleshoot IT issues, manage backups and IT assets, and coordinate with vendors. The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting, networking, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, maintain, and monitor IT systems, networks, servers, and hardware to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Install, configure, update, and maintain software, operating systems, applications, and IT equipment.
- Ensure regular data backups, system availability, and basic IT security across the organization.
- Provide technical support to employees across departments and resolve IT-related concerns efficiently.
- Manage IT assets, inventory, licenses, and equipment records and ensure proper allocation and maintenance.
- Coordinate with IT vendors and service providers for hardware, software, internet, and other IT-related services.
- Monitor network connectivity and system performance and take necessary corrective actions.
- Maintain proper IT documentation, records, and reports.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining IT policies, security practices, and operational procedures.
Experience:
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in IT support, system administration, networking, or a similar role.
- Experience in hardware/software troubleshooting, network management, IT asset management, and user support.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant IT certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA, or Microsoft certifications will be an added advantage.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, hardware, and software troubleshooting.
- Good understanding of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, and basic network security.
- Proficiency in Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and common business applications.
- Knowledge of data backup, system security, and IT asset management.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and provide timely technical support.
