VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, LOK VIRSA

Services of a dynamic and qualified full-time professional are required for the senior position of the Executive Director in the National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage (Lok Virsa), Islamabad.

Pay Package: Pay package equivalent to MP-II (in terms of Finance Division’s instructions).

Tenure: The appointment will be on a contract basis initially for a period of three (03) years, further extendable for a maximum period of two (02) years subject to satisfactory performance to be evaluated by the Performance Evaluation Committee.

Age Limit: Maximum 62 years (to be calculated as on the closing date of submission of applications).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:

Ph.D. in relevant subjects (Sociology/Ethnology/Anthropology/Folklore/Management Sciences/Mass Communication/Media Studies) and other related fields from an HEC-recognized University or equivalent foreign qualification with 10 years of professional experience in the relevant field.
OR
Masters in relevant subjects (Sociology/Ethnology/Anthropology/Folklore/Management Sciences/Mass Communication/Media Studies) and other related fields from an HEC-recognized University or equivalent foreign qualification with 14 years of experience in the relevant field. Knowledge/research in art and culture will be treated as an additional experience.
In the case of foreign-qualified shortlisted candidates, an equivalence certificate will be obtained from HEC before final selection.

Eligibility will be determined, and selection will be finalized as per approved Government policy. Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interview. Candidates shall not be entitled to TA/DA for the interview.
(In case of selection, candidates working in Government Departments or Autonomous/Semi-Autonomous Bodies will have to resign or seek retirement before joining the new assignment).
