Job Role To lead the research, development, and commercialization of sugar and sugar-related products, driving innovation from concept to market launch. Ensure technical feasibility, product quality, regulatory compliance, and commercial viability while expanding the Company’s product portfolio through market-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end product development of sugar and sugar-related products, including formulation, recipe optimization, laboratory, pilot and factory trials, scale-up, and commercialization.
Drive product innovation and quality by conducting sensory evaluations, competitor benchmarking, evaluating new ingredients and technologies, and troubleshooting formulation and production challenges.
Manage project execution by coordinating technical resources, ingredients, equipment, packaging development, shelf-life validation, and cross-functional collaboration with Production, QA/QC, Procurement, Marketing, Sales, and external consultants.
Ensure commercial and operational success by evaluating product costing, manufacturing efficiency, commercial feasibility, and identifying cost optimization opportunities without compromising product quality.
Maintain compliance and documentation by preparing technical formulations, specifications, trial reports, and ensuring adherence to all applicable food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Qualification

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology or a related discipline
6-7 years of Experience in New Product Development (NPD), food formulation or food R&D
Hands-on experience in recipe development, factory trials and product commercialization
Experience with sugar, sweeteners, bakery ingredients or FMCG foods will be preferred
