HBL Asset Management (wholly owned subsidiary of HBL Bank Ltd.) is looking for the position of “Head of Risk” in the Risk Management department for their Head Office located in Karachi.

Location: Karachi – Head Office
Position Profile:
The Head of Risk will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and execution of the HBL AMC’s Enterprise Risk Management framework.
Additionally, the incumbent will be responsible to identify, monitor and mitigate the risk taken by HBL AML, its funds and associated concerns while managing risks across all areas of the business.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with the ability to lead risk initiatives that support our Company’s growth objectives while maintaining regulatory compliance.
Required Competencies to successfully perform:
- Deep knowledge of regulatory requirements, financial markets, and risk management tools.
- Sound understanding of mutual fund industry
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage teams and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strategic thinking capability
- Ability to meet deadlines.
Required Education & Experience:
- Min Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline from a reputable / HEC recognized institution.
- Master’s degree and CFA will be preferred.
- Experience with risk reporting, audit processes, and compliance frameworks.
- Professional certifications (e.g., FRM, CFA etc.) are a plus.
- 8-12 years of relevant experience within the Financial Services or Asset Management Industry.
