About the Role
As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for technical design, simulation, layout development, and costing of solar PV solutions. You will work closely with sales, engineering, and site teams to deliver optimized, accurate, and efficient designs for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities
✨ Lead solar system design using PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD, SketchUp
✨ Prepare detailed BOQs, BOMs, proposals, and cost estimations
✨ Conduct pre-sales and post-sales site surveys for evaluation
✨ Optimize system performance to maximize energy yield
✨ Prepare electrical drawings, SLDs, and system layouts based on site conditions
✨ Develop 3D solar system models for shading and performance analysis
✨ Ensure designs comply with IEC, NEC, and local grid codes
✨ Coordinate with cross-functional teams for successful project execution
Qualification & Experience
🎓 BSc in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
🧠 3+ years of experience in solar PV design or a similar role
Skills & Competencies
✔ Design experience with residential, commercial & utility-scale PV systems
✔ Load assessment, system sizing, and energy yield calculations
✔ Proficiency with PV simulation tools (PVsyst, Helioscope), AutoCAD & SketchUp
✔ Strong understanding of AC/DC design, string sizing, inverter selection
✔ Knowledge of earthing, surge protection & lightning protection design
✔ Understanding of net-metering & utility interconnection requirements
✔ Expertise in BOQ preparation, cost optimization & site coordination
✔ Familiarity with HSE compliance and troubleshooting

About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Draftsman to assist our design engineers in preparing solar system layouts, BOQs, and proposals using AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other design tools. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, technical accuracy, and hands-on experience in solar PV drafting.
Key Responsibilities
✨ Prepare solar PV layout drawings (module placement, inverter layout, cable routing) using AutoCAD
✨ Develop Single Line Diagrams (SLD) and General Arrangement (GA) drawings
✨ Assist in DC & AC system design, string sizing, and equipment placement
✨ Prepare as-built drawings after project completion
✨ Coordinate with design, engineering, and site teams for updates
✨ Ensure drawings comply with IEC, NEC, IEEE, and local grid standards
✨ Maintain documentation, revision histories, and drawing records
✨ Support quantity take-off and preparation of BOM/BOQ
Qualification & Experience
🎓 D.A.E (Electrical / Mechanical / Civil)
🧠 3+ years of relevant experience in solar PV drafting
Skills & Competencies
✔ Proficiency in AutoCAD (PV layouts, electrical drawings)
✔ Ability to create SLDs, GAs, module & inverter layouts
✔ Understanding of solar PV components (modules, inverters, DBs, transformers)
✔ Knowledge of cable sizing, AC/DC layouts, earthing & lightning protection
✔ Ability to extract BOQ/BOM quantities from drawings
