Title : Linux Administrator

Location: Karachi
Type: Full time
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar relevant degree

Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Linux Administrator

Certifications: Linux certifications (RHCT, RHCE or LPIC) will be considered an advantage.

Skills Required:

• In depth knowledge of Linux (RedHat, CentOS, Debian, etc.)
• Hands-on installation, Configuration, and maintenance of Linux operating system.
• Familiarity with VMWare and SAN management and concepts.
• Expert in scripting (Shell, Perl, and/or Python)
• Solid knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP and SNMP.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.

Job Duties:

• Support and troubleshooting of the existing Linux environment
• Monitors system performance and ensures compliance with security standards.

Skills Required:

• Extensive knowledge of Windows Server 2012/2016/2019
• Strong understanding and hand zone on MS Active Directory and MS Exchange 2013/2019.
• Knowledge of Email security gateway and Load Balancers
• Ability to work on multiple projects/tasks at once and operate in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment and possess organization skills to balance and prioritize work.

Job Duties:

• Installation, Configuration and Administration of Windows Servers.
• Perform configuration, troubleshooting, and management of Active Directory, Skype4B, DNS, DHCP, IIS and file/print servers.
• Technical and operational support of all Users/Infrastructure issues and problems.
• Perform routine maintenance, patching and upgrades as needed or required
• Maintain uptime, availability, and performance

Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a VMware Administrator

Skills Required:

• Good Knowledge of Virtualization, especially VMware.
• Familiar with Windows/Linux OS
• Good understanding HP SAN, SAN Switches, FC, FC Zoning, HP Blade System, Virtual Connect and Onboard Administration

Job Duties:

• Installation, Configuration, administration and troubleshooting of VMware Esxi, Vcenter, HA, FT and Vmotion and vSwitch.
• To deploy several VMs from, Templates and customized their configurations as needed.
• Evaluate new products and recommends VMware updates and upgrades.
• Management of Datastores on VMware and HP SAN.
• Responded to server down alerts in a timely manner and brought them up via HP iLO
• Participate in regular 24×7 on-call rotations and coordinate with the offshore team for night-time scheduled activities
