Ziauddin University, Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) is looking for an experienced professional to manage and grow its Business Incubation Centre.
MANAGER – BUSINESS INCUBATION CENTER (BIC)
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in Business/Management/Entrepreneurship or Master of Science (STEM/Innovation/Technology Management) from a recognized institution.
- 2-3 years of proven experience in business incubation/startup ecosystem/venture building and grant/proposal writing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the development and implementation of BIC strategy and programs, aligning with university priorities and startup pipelines.
- Understand and implement Design Thinking and Product Development to convert student FYPs and faculty projects into incubatable ventures and MVPs.
- Create and operationalize student and faculty startups (selection, incubation, acceleration, market launch) with clear milestones and support services.
- Oversee end-to-end IP and commercialization (disclosures, patent/trademark/copyright), including documentation and submission to IPO Pakistan and relevant international bodies.
- Mobilize students and faculty toward national & international grants, incubations, and commercialization pathways; organize pitch days, demo days, and investor connects.
- Build and reinforce an innovation-support culture that is visible, responsive, and tailored to each faculty’s needs; maintain partnerships with industry, investors, and government.
