Job Purpose:
The Area Manager is a key member of the Ice Cream Sales team, responsible for ensuring smooth sales procedures and driving business growth by developing strong customer relationships. This role involves effective sales operations, trade activity execution within the assigned territory, and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) while leading the concessionaire sales force.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop strategic plans and growth strategies for volume delivery in the area.
- Monitor business performance on a daily and weekly basis.
- Increase numeric and weighted distribution of Unilever Brands and SKUs.
- Achieve Intelligent Quantum and Field Capability Score KPIs on a monthly basis.
- Manage stock and ensure secondary CCFOT (Case Fill Rate On Time) targets are met.
- Maintain high-quality sales and distribution standards.
- Implement new initiatives and category-specific plans.
- Expand direct coverage within the relevant universe.
- Achieve KPIs related to perfect store conditions and visibility initiatives.
- Ensure customer profitability (ROI) and required financials.
- Train and develop Territory Managers.
- Optimize asset and SKU allocation.
- Utilize IT tools effectively.
- Implement joint business plans and conduct regular compliance reviews.
- Provide feedback and insights on competitor activities.
- Promote best warehousing practices and FIFO (First In, First Out) principles for both concessionaires and trade.
- Adhere to Unilever’s audit guidelines.
- Facilitate weekly sharing of Unilever Safety discussion points and recommended behaviors through Territory Managers.
- Ensure customer operations and processes align with Unilever safety policies and principles.
- Monitor asset utilization (Trikes and Cabinets) using asset scanning tools and ensure proper compliance with Cold Chain Team support.
Education & Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or other relevant fields.
- 3-4 years of relevant sales experience in the FMCG/Snacking industry is preferred.
