Position: Project Risk Management and Monitoring Analyst (Short term)

Education:

Advanced University Degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in Development Studies, Political Science, Public Administration, International Relations, Peace and Conflict Studies, Social Sciences, Risk Management, Economics or related field.

A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in above mentioned areas in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree

Experience:

Applicants with a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field of study are not required to have professional work experience.
Applicants with a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) are required to have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience in development sector, project management and monitoring and evaluation, risk management is required.
Experience in the use of computers, office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and web-based management systems, and advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages is required.
Experience in preparing analytical reports, risk briefs, dashboards, or evidence-based recommendations for senior management to support decision-making and programme implementation is required.
Relevant experience in risk management, conflict analysis, grievance redress mechanisms, safeguards, monitoring & evaluation, stakeholder engagement or programme management.
Knowledge of conflict-sensitive programming, Do No Harm approaches, and risk monitoring frameworks would be highly desirable.
Previous experience in International Organizations, OR UN Agencies, OR UNDP is an advantage, particularly with knowledge of business processes.

Languages: Fluency in English and Urdu languages is required.

Position: Finance Associate

Education:

Secondary Education (high school) with specialized certification in accounting and/or Finance is required.
University degree in Finance or Accounting will be given due consideration, but it is not a requirement. (The degree must state that the major is in accounting or finance. Degrees in Business Administration or Public Administration are not considered equivalent).
Part-qualified accountants from an internationally accredited institute of accountancy will have a distinct advantage.
Fully Qualified Accountant, from an internationally accredited institute of accountancy or Full Completion of the UNDP Finance Training and Certification Programme (FTCP). No UNDP Accountancy and Finance Test (AFT) required.
Candidates with no professional accountancy qualifications, but with degrees that major in accountancy and/or finance must complete UNDP Finance Training and Certification Programme (FTCP), if recruited. However, no UNDP Accountancy and Finance Test (AFT) is required.

Experience:

Minimum of 6 years (with high school diploma) or 3 years (with bachelor’s degree) of progressively responsible finance and accounting experience at the national or international level is required.
Experience in the use of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and advanced knowledge of spreadsheets and web-based management systems such as ERP financials and database packages is required.
Experience and knowledge in quality financial reviews of Payments, Accounting documents, internal/external auditing is required.
Experience and knowledge of IPSAS and/or IFRS is required.
Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP is desired.
Experience in preparing financial reports, analytical reports and financial forecasting/projections is desired.
Experience of financial closure is desired.

Languages: Fluency in the English and Urdu languages is required.

Education:

Advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Architecture or related field or other relevant disciplines is required. OR.
A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the areas mentioned above, in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree

Experience:

Applicants with a master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field of study are not required to have professional work experience.
Applicants with a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) are required to have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience at the national or international level in building construction and civil works project management is required.
