Career Opportunities: Applications on prescribed form are invited from qualified and eligible candidates for recruitment against the following positions:

Registrar (Tenure post for three years)

BPS: 20
Minimum required Qualification/Experience:
Postgraduate, preferably in 1st Class or equivalent degree awarded after 16 years of education from a recognized University, with 17 years administrative experience in a post equivalent to BPS-17 and above in a University/Board/Govt. Department/Autonomous Organization.

Job Description (Key Responsibilities):

The incumbent shall be a whole-time officer of the University.
He/She must be fully aware of the rules, regulations, and statutes of the University, as well as those pertaining to the Government/Semi-Government/Autonomous Bodies.
He/She will be the custodian of the common seal, the academic and administrative record of the University.
He/She will conduct the elections of statutory bodies/authorities and perform such other duties as may be prescribed/assigned.
He/She may be familiar with IT skills and Modern Administration Tools.
The candidate must be equipped with skills to conduct meetings of statutory bodies, prepare the Agenda, working papers, and minutes of meetings.
The candidate must maintain close liaison/coordination with Management to resolve various issues related to law & order and other administrative issues within the University.
He/She shall deal with litigations and legal affairs and appear in Honorable Courts to defend University matters if required.
The period of appointment shall be for three years.

Controller of Examinations

BPS: 20
Minimum required Qualification/Experience:
Postgraduate, preferably in 1st Class or equivalent degree awarded after 16 years of education from a recognized University, with 17 years of teaching, administrative, and/or examination experience in a post equivalent to BPS-17 and above in a University/Board/Govt. Department/Autonomous Organization.

Job Description (Key Responsibilities):

He/She shall be a whole-time officer of the University.
He/She shall be responsible for all matters connected with the conduct of examinations and other duties as prescribed.
He/She may be familiar with IT and modern tools of automation related to examination record-keeping and maintenance.
He/She shall be responsible for announcing examination results on time.
He/She shall coordinate with the University Administration for holding Convocation in a befitting manner.

Librarian

BPS: 19
Minimum required Qualification/Experience:
Postgraduate in Library Science, preferably 1st Class or equivalent qualifications from a recognized University, with 13 years experience in Library Administration/Organization in a post equivalent to BPS-17 and above in a University/Board/Colleges/Library of repute.

Job Description (Key Responsibilities):

Proficiency in modern digital Library Management Systems (e.g., KOHA) and digital cataloging.
Data analysis and interpretation for improving library decision-making.
Organization and maintenance of library resources for optimal accessibility.
Development and implementation of community outreach programs to promote library awareness.
Familiarity with e-publications and digital resources.
Creation of a supportive and inclusive environment for scholars and students at the Central Library.

Candidates applying for more than one post must submit separate applications and pay orders.
The upper age limit is 45 years.
Applicants working in Government, Semi-Government, and Autonomous Bodies (including SALU’s Employees) must apply through proper channel and attach NOC, Service Certificate issued by the competent authority/Head of Institution/Organization by the due date. Otherwise, their applications shall be considered incomplete and liable to be rejected.
No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in the test/interview.
The competent authority may cancel one or more of the above posts without prior notice.
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for a test/interview.
Incomplete applications will be summarily rejected. Canvassing in any manner will disqualify the candidate.
