Position: Deputy Manager – Product Development
Key Responsibilities
- Lead product development of WORKWEAR & TECHNICAL PPE including FR, welding, denim, hi-vis, industrial, and aluminized garments
- Hands-on expertise with technical raw materials, including:
- FR cotton, modacrylic blends, aramids, carbon / anti-static fibers
- Coated & laminated fabrics, leather, and hybrid constructions
- Develop and manage tech packs, BOMs, size specifications, and sample approvals
- Coordinate closely with fabric mills, trim suppliers, and testing laboratories
- Ensure compliance with international PPE standards, including:
- EN ISO 11611 / EN ISO 11612
- EN ISO 20471 (Hi-Vis)
- EN 1149 (Anti-Static)
- Relevant NFPA / ASTM standards
- Support cost engineering, material optimization, and performance improvement
- Handle customer technical queries and development feedback professionally
Requirements
- Education: MBA Marketing / B.Sc. Textile Engineering
- Experience: Minimum 6-10 years of experience in relevant field
- Skills: Strong buyer-handling and negotiation skills in local and export workwear markets
