CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER – GENERAL INSURANCE

We invite applications from visionary and results-driven professionals for the position of “Chief Executive Officer” of an under-formation General Insurance Company under the Government of the Punjab. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the general insurance industry, exceptional strategic and financial acumen and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences. The position will report to the Board of Directors.

Position Details:

Position: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Location: Lahore

Description: The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Insurance Company will be responsible for leading the company in setting up its operations and overall management of the company. This role is accountable for formulating strategic direction, managing financial performance, driving sustainable business growth, profitability, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, risk management, and corporate governance while safeguarding the interests of shareholders, customers, employees, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the Company’s strategic direction, business growth, transformation, and implementation of Board-approved plans.
Drive market expansion, product innovation, financial performance, investment oversight, and sustainable value creation.
Ensure regulatory compliance, effective risk management, corporate governance, and protection of the Company’s reputation.
Manage stakeholder relationships, including the Board, regulators, investors, and key partners.
Lead the executive team, oversee operations, and ensure operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and achievement of business objectives.

General Eligibility Criteria:

Qualification:

Master’s degree from an HEC-recognized university or an equivalent qualification from a well-reputed international university with at least 10 years’ experience out of which 5 years as Key Officer or Director or Chief Executive or Principal Officer in the insurance industry or as an officer with Insurance Regulator; or
ACII or FCII or Fellow or Associate of the Institute or Society of Actuaries, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Pakistan Society of Actuaries with at least 5 years’ experience as Key Officer or Director or Chief Executive or Principal Officer in the insurance industry or as an officer with Insurance Regulator

Experience:

Minimum 20 years of post-qualification professional experience.
At least 10 years of experience in the insurance industry.
A minimum of 5 years in a senior executive leadership role, with demonstrated responsibility for strategic planning, business growth, operations, financial performance, and corporate governance.

Age:

Not more than 57 years as of last date of application submission.
