Applications are invited from suitable qualified candidates having Punjab Domicile for appointment on contract basis for following posts of Punjab Forensic Science Authority, Lahore, Training Laboratory at Punjab Forensic Science Authority, Lahore and CSUs/Satellite Stations of Punjab Forensic Science Authority.

1. Additional Director General (Forensics) (Special Pay Package)

Total Posts: 01 (Open Merit)
Minimum Qualification & Experience:
(i) Ph.D. in Forensic Science or Chemistry or Physics or Genetics or Molecular Biology with M.Sc. in relevant field from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission;
(ii) Seven years’ relevant working experience; and
(iii) Seven Publications in relevant peer reviewed journals.
Age Limit: 42-55 years

2. Director Forensic (Special Pay Package)

Total Posts: 01 (Open Merit)
Minimum Qualification & Experience:
(i) Ph.D. in Forensic Science or Physics or Genetics or Molecular Biology from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission; and
(ii) seven year experience of work in any forensic lab internationally.
Age Limit: 35-50 years

3. Manager (Pathology & Histology) (Special Pay Package)

Total Posts: 01 (Open Merit)
Minimum Qualification & Experience:
(i) MBBS or equivalent qualification recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council or Pakistan Medical Commission and registered with Pakistan Medical and Dental Council or Pakistan Medical Commission;
(ii) postgraduate Level III qualification of Ph.D. or FCPS or MRC (Pathology or Histopathology or Microbiology) or equivalent qualification from Diplomate American Board (Pathology or Histopathology or Microbiology), and
(iii) four years experience in a reputable pathology or histopathology or microbiology laboratory.

OR

(i) postgraduate Level II. qualification i.e. M.Phil. (Pathology or Histopathology or Microbiology) or equivalent qualification recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council or Pakistan Medical Commission or equivalent qualification from Diplomate American Board (Pathology or Histopathology or Microbiology); and
(ii) six years experience in a reputable pathology or histopathology or microbiology laboratory.
Age Limit: 40-55 years

4. Forensic Scientist (Firearm & Tool Mark) (Special Pay Package)

Total Posts: 01 (Open Merit)
Minimum Qualification & Experience:
(i) MS or M.Phil. (second division) in Physics or Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from Higher Education Commission recognized Institution; and
(ii) three years’ relevant experience in an accredited forensic laboratory.
Age Limit: 28-35 years

5. Forensic Scientist (Latent Finger Print) (Special Pay Package)

Minimum Qualification & Experience:
(i) MS or M. Phil. (second division) in Chemistry from an institution recognized by Higher Education Commission; and
(ii) three years relevant experience in an accredited forensic laboratory.
Age Limit: 28-35 years

6. Forensic Scientist (Questioned Document) (Special Pay Package)

Minimum Qualification & Experience:
(i) MS or M. Phil. (second division) in Chemistry or Pharm-D from an institution recognized by Higher Education Commission; and
(ii) three years relevant experience in an accredited forensic laboratory.
Age Limit: 28-35 years

7. Forensic Scientist (Polygraph) (Special Pay Package)

Total Posts: 03 (Open Merit)
Minimum Qualification & Experience:
(i) MS or M.Phil. (second division) in Clinical Psychology or Neuropsychology or Neuropsychology from a university recognized by Higher Education Commission; and
(ii) three years relevant experience in an accredited forensic laboratory.
Age Limit: 28-35 years

8. Forensic Scientist (Photography) (Special Pay Package)

Total Posts: 03 (Open Merit)
Minimum Qualification & Experience:
(i) MS or M.Phil. (second division) in Design or Photography from a university recognized by Higher Education Commission; and
(ii) three years relevant experience in an accredited forensic laboratory.

OR

(i) Master in Fine Arts (second division) in Graphic Design from a university recognized by Higher Education Commission; and
(ii) five years relevant experience in an accredited forensic laboratory.
Age Limit: 28-35 years

9. Forensic Scientist (Toxicology) (Special Pay Package)

Total Posts: 03 (Open Merit)
Minimum Qualification & Experience:
(i) MS or M.Phil. (second division) in Chemistry or Applied Chemistry or Pharmaceutics or Pharmaceutical Chemistry from a university recognized by Higher Education Commission; and
(ii) three years relevant experience in an accredited forensic laboratory.
Age Limit: 28-35 years

10. Forensic Scientist (DNA & Serology) (Special Pay Package)

Total Posts: 06 (Open Merit)
Minimum Qualification & Experience:
(i) MS or M.Phil. (second division) in Molecular Biology or Biochemistry or Biotechnology or Forensic Science or Virology or Immunology or Molecular Genetics from a university recognized by Higher Education Commission; and
(ii) three years relevant experience in an accredited forensic laboratory.

OR

(i) MSc (Hons) (second division) in Entomology or Immunology or Biological Sciences from a university recognized by Higher Education Commission; and
(ii) three years relevant experience in an accredited forensic laboratory.
Age Limit: 28-35 years

11. Forensic Scientist (Pathology & Histology) (Special Pay Package)

Total Posts: 04 (Open Merit)
Minimum Qualification & Experience:
(i) MBBS or equivalent qualification recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council or Pakistan Medical Commission and registered with Pakistan Medical and Dental Council or Pakistan Medical Commission;
(ii) postgraduate Level III qualification of Ph.D. or FCPS or MRC (in Pathology or Histopathology or Microbiology) or equivalent qualification from Diplomate American Board (in Pathology or Histopathology or Microbiology); and

12. Forensic Scientist (Crime & Death Scene Investigation) (Special Pay Package)

OR

B.Sc. (second division) in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission.

OR

(iii) three years relevant experience in an accredited forensic laboratory.

OR

Pharm-D (second division) from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission.

16. Junior Forensic Scientist (Crime & Death Scene Investigation) (Special Pay Package)

M.Sc or BS or B.Sc. (Hons) (second division) in Chemistry or Bio-Chemistry or Physics or Biology or Forensic Science or Pharmacy or Micro Biology or Molecular Biology or Molecular Genetics or Biotechnology or Biochemistry or Agronomy or Horticulture or Entomology or Soil Chemistry or Plant Breeding & Genetics or Food Technology or Food Nutrition or Economics from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission.

OR

B.Sc. (second division) in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission.
Age Limit: 23-35 years

17. Junior Forensic Scientist (Computer Forensic) (Special Pay Package)

Minimum Qualification & Experience:
MS or M.Phil. (second division) in Computer Science or Information Technology or Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering or Computer System Engineering from a university recognized by Higher Education Commission.

OR

B.Sc. (Hons.) (second division) in Computer Science or Information Technology or Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering or Computer System Engineering from a university recognized by Higher Education Commission.
Age Limit: 23-35 years

General Terms and Conditions:

a) Only “male” candidates can apply for the posts of Forensic Scientist (Crime & Death Scene Investigation) & Junior Forensic Scientist (Crime & Death Scene Investigation) (Sr# 12 & 16).

b) Special course work (four credit hours) in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Population Statistics from a university recognized by Higher Education Commission is mandatory for both sets of qualifications prescribed for the post of Forensic Scientist (DNA & Serology) (Sr# 10).

c) All posts including the post of Forensic Scientist (Pathology & Histology) are full-time contract and require continuous engagement and observance of regular working hours.

d) In case a candidate wishes to apply for more than one post, he/she shall be required to submit separate online application forms along with separate processing fees.

e) The submission/uploading of all required academic transcripts and degrees is compulsory. Applications submitted without complete transcripts shall be considered incomplete and rejected without assigning any reason.

f) The above positions are offered on contract basis for three years (renewable) under the Contract appointment policy 2004 of the Government of the Punjab.

g) General age relaxation shall be applicable in maximum/upper age limit as per prevailing policies of Govt. of the Punjab.

h) The Competent Authority reserves the right to increase, decrease OR cancel the number of posts against above mentioned each category at any stage.

i) Monthly salaries for the above-mentioned posts will be as under:

1. Additional Director General (Forensics): Rs.1,100,000/- p.m
2. Director Forensic: Rs.750,000/- p.m + 10% annual increase
3. Manager (Pathology & Histology): Rs.750,000/- p.m + 10% annual increase
4. Forensic Scientist (Pathology & Histology): Rs.325,000/- p.m + 10% annual increase (During Training half salary will be paid)
5. Forensic Scientist (other than Pathology & Histology): Rs.325,000/- p.m + 10% annual increase (During Training half salary will be paid)
6. Junior Forensic Scientist: Rs.200,000/- p.m + 10% annual increase (During training half salary will be paid)

Procedure for submission of Application Forms:

a) Interested applicants should apply online through the website of Information Technology University till 18th October, 2026. Applications other than online will not be accepted in any case and no extra time will be allowed.

b) The applicant WILL NOT be able to submit their applications online after the closing date because Job Portal link will be blocked on the closing date.

d) Applicants are advised to carefully read all terms and conditions and instructions of the advertisement before submitting their online applications and ensure that the applications are complete in all respects.

e) The users/responsibility of correctness of the data given in the on-line application will rest absolutely with the applicant.

f) Applications with incorrect information intentionally or unintentionally during online submission will be rejected without assigning any reason.

g) Only short-listed candidates will be called for test/interview.

h) The Experience against the applied posts shall be considered as “Post Qualification Experience”. The Applicant must mention the relevant experience required for the post.

i) All Government employees should apply through proper channel.

j) The Applicant having a foreign degree, will have to submit the equivalence certificate issued from HEC, Islamabad.

k) The applicants are required to pay an Application Processing Fee (non-refundable) Rs. 2,000/- (Two Thousand Only) before or on the closing date only through “PSID” (automatically generated after successful submission of online application).
